Hi! My name is Nichole Costello and I am a public relations major and advertising minor at Rowan University. I graduated in May of 2012.
As a student, I’m still coming into my own and learning the ropes of the public relations and advertising industry. It has been a bumpy ride, but I have some good experience under my belt. I’ve worked with Doug Hac (doughac.com) as a photographer and Director of Marketing. Also interned with Merchwide, a Merchandise Management & Marketing Company located in Orange County, California that specializes in procurement, production, e-commerce, retail, design, and brand development .
Currently, I work at 11 East Gallery. I premiere, highlight, and sell local original art as well as famous prints and posters. The space is also used for music, spoken word, poetry readings, and various other performances.
If you’re interested in getting in touch with me, you can contact me at ncostello87 (at) gmail (dot) com. Or, you can find me on Twitter at@NicholeCostello.
I hope to continue my passion for public relations, advertising and social media by using the skills I’ve learned from Rowan University and internships in a professional atmosphere.
I am skilled in lightweight & visual programming, e-commerce solutions and design for print. Adobe, IllustratorCS4, QuarkXPress, INdesign, HTML, Digital, 35 mm photography and Associated Press style proofreading..
Actor-comedians T.J. Miller, Nick Batterott and RTN’s Socially Awkward brought down the house at the comedy show Saturday, March 3rd. Sponsored by R.A.H., the show took place at 10 p.m. in the SC Ballroom on campus. Rowan University’s own sketch comedy team, Blake Rice and Ricky Ryan, hosted the event.
The lights dimmed on a large crowd that looked like it didn’t know what to expect or make of the evening to come. Patiently waiting for the entertainment to begin, Ricky and Blake took the stage. The two kicked off the show with a hilarious stand-up act that was full of improvisation and spontaneity.
They painted a picture of one ironically grim night on the quest of jalapeños for “Nacho time,” (instead of the typical Saturday night Beau party), ending with the two in a stand-off with their guido, Rivage-dwelling foes. The routine was entertaining from start to their bloody finish. The dynamic duo did a great job setting the tone for the hilarious night to come.
With a graceful transition into a welcoming, hermit-looking Batterott, who was the opening act for TJ Miller, they descended the stage with warm praise for a job well done. Nick started off a little slow, but was absolutely on fire before it was over and had the crowds cracking up. Following the solo act, TJ Miller took the makeshift RAH stage. TJ was by far the best act, and threw in gut-busting lines and jokes (often at his own expense).
All performances were very funny throughout the entire evening. Between the intense physical and punchy display of rambunctious energy from Socially Awkward and rioting standing up of Nick and TJ, they all connected a story to the students and being none too shy and gentle about it.
Thanks to Socially Awkward, Rowan students can feel a sense of pride as our very own peers are representing the pure talent that comes out of our small community here at the University.
